Agrana Fruit Opens $50 Million Factory in Lysander 








Agrana Fruit US Inc. formally opened its $50 million factory in Lysander recently on Thursday May 15th. This is the company’s fourth facility in the US with its headquarters located in Vienna, Australia. The facility can produce up to 50 million pounds of fruit preparations a year, which helps in contributing to half of the yogurt made in the US. Currently, the plant employes 60 people but is expected to double over the next 3 years.With New York being known as the “yogurt capital of the nation” and being home to Chobani, Agrana’s business is growing fast. The Dairy Industry in New York has been resulting in positive economic growth translating into new opportunities and jobs; and the opening of this factory is contributing to that. For more information click here
